PROGRAM PURPOSE
The purpose of the program is to provide students with the essential job skills to prepare young people for becoming productive members of society. TPEP will teach skills necessary for success in the workplace. In addition, the TPEP training will provide participants with the work ethics as well as attitude, including character development and training required in the business world.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The program will focus on teaching high school students the necessary skills required to attain and maintain employment. Students will be enrolled in a seven - ten week job skills training program taught by Human Resources professionals. Moreover, students will be taught and provided with skills to succeed as entrepreneurs and business people by practitioners in the discipline.
PROGRAM BENEFITS
The students will be better prepared to join the work force, better prepared to achieve personal goals, better grounded in personal responsibility and better equipped to complete educational opportunities. The vehicles to these objectives are job training, actual employment situations and staff-lead skill building seminars.
At the end of the sessions, students who complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion.
