The Reverend Doctor TOMMIE JACKSON serves as fourth pastor of the Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Stamford, Connecticut. He has served the congregation since 1997.  Prior to coming to Faith Tabernacle, Dr. Jackson pastored the historic Calvary Baptist Church in Chester, Pennsylvania.  He is a son of the New Shiloh Baptist Church, Baltimore, Maryland and was licensed as well as ordained to Gospel Ministry by Dr. Harold A. Carter who pastors New Shiloh.

Faith Tabernacle is a progressive congregation with various ministries geared toward meeting the total needs of its fellowship and the community at large.  In January 2006, the Church completed a $5 million expansion and renovation project that includes a 250 seat Chapel, classrooms and covered parking as a few amenities.

He is favored of the Lord with gifts in ministry.  Dr. Jackson is an acclaimed preacher, teacher, evangelist and Church administrator.  He has ministered throughout the continental United States, and shared on four of the continents with Good News from the Lord.

Dr. Jackson attended Morehouse College and took his bachelor degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County (an honors university).  He completed the Master of Theology at St. Mary's Seminary and University in Maryland. Tommie Jackson earned an Advanced Studies Business Certificate in Management and Behavioral Sciences from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has two earned doctorates: one in Jurisprudence from the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Law and a second from the New York Theological Seminary.

Tommie Jackson has an extensive employment history in public service at various senior and cabinet level positions in local, state and federal government. Reverend Jackson teaches at the collegiate level and has contributed to several published works, namely, Church Renewal: A new Heart and Spirit (1993), Servants By the Living Springs (1999), and Leadership in the 21st Century.

Dr. Tommie Jackson serves on several Boards. He holds membership in a number of
civic, fraternal and professional associations including the National Association for the
Advancement of Colored People, the Progressive National Baptist Convention, the Lott Carey Convention, the American Baptist Churches, USA, and the National Bar Association.  He is the immediate past Dean Congress of Christian Education for the Connecticut State Missionary Baptist Convention.

Dr. Jackson takes refuge in the words of the Apostle Paul, "I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV).
